Ziggy Lives!

Out of all the alter-egos that the late David Bowie has had throughout his showbiz career, perhaps the most well-known is Ziggy Stardust.
I was inspired to do this drawing after vacationing in Chicago and visiting its Museum Of Contemporary Art, which had a very special exhibit on David.  This exhibit consisted of stage and video costumes, instruments, handwritten song lyrics and many other mementos of his illustrious career.
In this drawing, Ziggy lives on...through Yui, from the anime K-On.  I included her guitar.
That's one of David's stage outfits she's wearing.  I picked this one because it had a Japanese designer, Kansai Yamamoto, who named it "Tokyo Pop".  Also, this outfit was the very first item on display at the entrance to the exhibit.
Incidentally, I bought the Ziggy Stardust album and a postcard of this outfit at that exhibit.  And as I was doing this drawing, I listened to both that album and the Pinups album.
Sadly, David died only about a year after that exhibit closed.
